JSD is an Accepted Inspection Firm by the RCABC Guarantee Corp. (RGC). JSD can conduct inspections on roofing projects where an RGC Guarantee Certificate has been specified.

JSD carries Errors & Omissions Liability Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance provided by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's London as arranged by CFC Underwriters Ltd. JSD also maintains coverage pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act.

     ♦ Key Professional Engineers at JSD
Key builidng envelope engineers at JSD are Samer (Sam) Daibess and Jeongsik Jeong. Sam and Jeongsik have a combined 25-Years experience in the construction field that includes 20-Years experience in the building envelope/building science field.

Samer (Sam) Daibess P.Eng.
Sam  is a Principal and a Senior Project Engineer with JSD. Sam has  provided  consulting engineering  services for over 70 building envelope projects in BC   and  ON with leading building science firms such as Trow Global and Morrison Hershfield. Sam specializes in building envelope rehabilitation design and field reivew, new construction design and field review, project management and contract administration, building condition surveys, investigation of building envelope failures, providing project supervision, performance verification, reserve fund studies, and technical audits. In addition to his building envelope experience,  Sam  also  specializes  in  reinforced concrete structures rehabilitation design and field review. He has a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from the  University of Toronto  and a Technician  and  Technologist Diplomas in Civil Engineering from Humber College, Toronto, ON. Sam is currently a member of  BCBEC Board of  Directors.

 

Jeongsik Jeong, P.Eng., LEEDAP, M.A.Sc.
Jeongsik is a Principal and a Techincal Director with JSD. Jeongsik has provided consulting engineering services for over 60 building envelope projects in BC with Trow Global and Levelton Consultants Ltd. His builidng envelope projects include assessments, design, field review, construction contract administration, maintenance manuals, reserve fund studies, LEED consultation, and legal support. Jeongsik has a Master of Applied Science in the field of Building Science from the University of Waterloo. He is proficient in design, and construction and performance review of exterior wall cladding systems, curtain wall/ window/ door systems, and roofing/ waterproofing systems. Jeongsik is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) and accredited professional of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEEDAP). Jeongsik also has knowledge in Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
